Lapcabby Troubleshooting

Lapcabby Troubleshooting

Step 1 – Clock Chip Reset

Power up the unit and immediately press and hold the two outer buttons, wait until the screen displays “Setting Clock Defaults” and release the 2 buttons, turn off the unit and wait 5 seconds, power the unit back up and you should now be able to set the date and time and timers.

If step 1 doesn’t resolve the issue then move onto Step 2.

Step 2 – Main CPU Reset

At power up press and hold the centre button immediately and wait until the screen displays “Reset Profile” select Yes and then No on the following screen. This procedure should clear the faults. (note that the display will show the date the software was created.) You can now set the times and dates etc as shown in the instruction manual.

Cabby Too Hot

The first thing to check is that the temperature cut off value is set correctly.

Checking temperature sensor value:

·        Turn on the LapCabby and hold the middle button of the Power 7 at the same time until you are asked “Reset Profile?” – select no

·        “Config menu” – select yes

·        Press the middle button until you see “Cut off temp”

·        If the value is less than the temperature your Power 7 has reached, then adjust up to the default value of 35 degrees

·        If the value is higher than the temperature then try and resetting the Power 7 profile

Resetting the Power 7 profile:

·        Turnoff the LapCabby

·        Turn on the LapCabby and hold the middle button of the Power 7 at the same time until you are asked “Reset Profile?” – select yes

·        Your power 7 should now reset and then power on again

·        Do you still have the same error message?

·        If yes, we will need to send you a new Power 7 front.
